About the Item

An attractive and most elegant true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu and white Carrara marble candelabra lamps. Each stunning three arm candelabra is raised on a circular fluted white Carrara marble base supported on a berried laurel Ormolu band decorated with crossing ribbons. Above the marble base is an Ormolu beaded band wrapped around a ground link platform that supports the wonderful maiden above. The maiden is dressed in a lovely flowing garment and flower headdress as she gazes upwards while holding one of her arms above her head. The three foliate decorated scrolling electrified arms emerge from behind the maiden and display flower buds before revealing a bloomed flower at the end serving as the bobeche below the circular mottled edge candle cup.
