About the Item
Luigi Gaetano Ceschina was born on 15 August 1879 in Muronico, Italy.
He originally founded Sanitaria Cheschina, a sanitary products company, which won him the award of « Cavaliere del Lavoro » (Knight of Labor). In 1925, the industrious man bought the Pauly
Co. entreprise which focused on the commercialization of traditional Venetian products. With his dedication to the company, Pauly
Co. grew to become a reputable design company that produced many Classic works of design. In 2016, Pauly
Co. ceased production, making collection of their works even more valuable pieces of history.
Before arriving in our gallery, this splendid and very large pair of Murano glass lamp in creamy white with loads of 24-karat. gold, from the house of Pauly was owned by a Venetian collector and expert in Murano glass. These two exceptional pieces in perfect state of preservation are from 1950 and were in the Barbarigo palace in Venice built in the 16th century, in the midst of the Renaissance
This mythical place known by the most demanding and wealthy customers was then the headquarters of the company Pauly
