About the Item

Stunning table lamp in tortoiseshell effect lucite and brass completed by an ecru linen lampshade. This incredibly charming lamp was produced in Italy during the 1970s and its design is attributed to Willy Rizzo. In fantastic condition, the square body of this table lamp is made in lucite with a stunning tortoiseshell effect and enhanced with solid brass rims on the top and the bottom that add a touch of luxury. The contrast between the lucite and the brass makes this large table lamp extremely elegant and unique. When lit the effect is simply spectacular. The lamp is wired and tested, compatible with both US and EU/UK standards, it uses a single E26/27 light bulb. The proportions of the lamp make it suitable both as a table lamp in domestic settings and in more formal spaces such as offices or professional studios. This lamp is a magnificent example of the elegant and sophisticated style of Willy Rizzo and the use of lucite and brass, iconic materials of the 1970s, is characteristic of Italian design from that era, known for its ability to combine timeless elegance and functionality.
