The image of a spaceship, launched to conquer space, merges the futuristic aesthetics of 20th-century space age imagery with the post-modernism of the Memphis movement, creating a luminous object with a strong identity, rooted in the history of design and projected towards the future. This attractive unconventional table lamp, called appropriately Apollo 9, a design by ROMANI SACCANI ARCHITETTI ASSOCIATI, is a portable, battery-operated, rechargeable, and dimmable lamp with space-inspired shape. Everything revolves around the LED projector, the technological soul of the project: a cylinder in the center of the dome, with USB connection for charging, which also houses the rechargeable battery and is topped by an illuminated diamond cut crystal. The capsule of the lampshade, handcrafted in blown azure cerulean blue Murano glass, recalls the lunar surface with its irregular bubbles trapped in the transparencies of the glass and is supported by 3 cylindrical legs in crystal solid Murano glass.
Available in different handcrafted glass colors and finishes: black nickel, chrome, copper and brass.
