An extraordinary extra-large vintage Murano glass mushroom lamp in a crisp white hue, crafted using the iconic swirl technique. Its generous scale gives this timeless design a strong sculptural presence, while the subtle tonal variations create a soft, luminous glow that gently illuminates any space.
Handblown in Murano, Italy, this oversized lamp is a beautiful example of the craftsmanship for which Murano glassmakers are renowned. Produced in the 1970s, these iconic fungo mushroom lamps became a hallmark of mid-century modern design. The seamless, organic silhouette is the result of meticulous glassblowing, achieved in a single, fluid form.
This XL lamp is in excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks. Subtle air bubbles and natural variations are present, consistent with authentic handblown Murano glass. It has been professionally rewired for North American use and accommodates a standard bulb, combining functionality with striking visual impact.
