About the Item
A stoneware table lamp designed by Nils Kähler for Herman A. Kähler Keramik, the family workshop founded by his great grandfather in 1839 and which he, "the young Kahler", took over in 1940 with his brother, Herman Jørgen Kähler, in 1940.
Designed by Nils Kahler, the base of this piece is covered by a vivid yellow glaze, an ocher tending to a Naples yellow, which skims the herringbone texture incised into the ceramic.
The lamp has been fully rewired with a UK standard plug and black, antique-style electrical cord. The lamp also includes a lightly textured cotton blend lampshade.
