About the Item
This contemporary reflective wall piece by Spanish architect and designer MSubiràs functions both as a mirror and as a sculptural artwork. The polished surface invites the viewer to sit, look into the piece and contemplate their own reflection — yet what appears is not always what it seems, suggesting that perception can move beyond a purely superficial image.
The work plays with both visual and conceptual ambiguity, encouraging the viewer to confront a vision that may be real, introspective or even imaginary. The mirror thus becomes a window into different layers of perception, where the visible and the invisible intertwine, offering an experience of self-exploration and personal questioning.
Born in Olot (Girona), MSubiràs builds his practice around “function plus emotion,” a kind of constructive essentialism that plays with expressiveness, naturalness, refinement, technology and sustainability. He has created a multidisciplinary creative space primarily focused on architecture, design and interior design, formed by a network of collaborators from fields such as architecture, engineering, design, art and advertising, with creativity as the central meeting point.
