About the Item
A very pretty pair of English Chinese Chippendale style carved giltwood girandoles, each crested with an eagle resting on a stylized foliate surround. The mirrors are decorated, one with a figure of a woman and her child, the other with an exotically garbed man examining a length of cord. The carving is of very good quality typical of the period. These highly decorative small mirrors add an exotic touch to whatever room they may be in. Some regilding and minor repairs to each. Circa 1850 or earlier.
