About the Item
This beautiful antique French gold gilt mirror is a typical Louis Quinze or rococo mirror. It has the typical asymmetrical ornamentation and facetted mirror glass. The mirror is partially gold leaf gilt and partially gold painted. The gold leaf gilding shows some red bole through the gilding, giving the gold color a warm touch. The mirror has its original facetted mirror plate. The glass has a few minor spots and superficial scratches with no mist. The mirror has its original back cladding.

- Condition:Repaired: This mirror has undergone minor repairs in our workshop. The back cladding and mirror plate were taken out to remove dust. The authentic mirror plate is very good with little wear. It ha a strong gold color. Wear consistent with age and use.
