About the Item
Dress a mantel with this elegant antique Louis Philippe style mirror. Crafted in the Burgundy region of France, circa 1860, and almost 5 feet in height, the large arched wall mirror has traditional, timeless lines with rounded corners and a straight base bottom. The thick frame is further embellished with a two-tone floral engraved decor embellished with bead motif around the frame. The Classic French wall piece is dressed with its original mercury glass and parquet wood backing. The Louis Philippe style mirror is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich and luxurious patinated gold leaf finish. Versatile, this tall mirror could also be placed over a console in a hallway, over a chest in an entryway, or in a powder room. New wire has been installed on the back for easy handling and installation. A few dark spots on the glass.
