About the Item
Neoclassical mantle mirror hand-crafted in Italy in the early 1800s. The mirror is a beautiful accent piece that adds elegance and style to a room. The mirror is adorned by two hand-turned and hand-carved columns on the front decorated by gold-leaf accents. Its patina is stunning and the gold-leafed moldings add extra luminosity and sophistication. The original lacquer is still in great condition and the patina accumulated over time gives beautiful character.
This is a piece that can be placed on top of a fireplace mantle, as originally intended, or anywhere in a room where height is needed. Its light color gives it a delicate look, and makes it a perfect addition to a room that is furnished with modern furniture as well as antiques.
