About the Item
An architectural, Empire-style mantel mirror from France with some light foxing throughout the original mercury mirror plate. The carved mahogany has gained a fine patina, composed of a wide cornice over a low arch above the glass. To the sides are detached, fully formed columns accented with bright, cast brass capitals and bases that leads the eye into the reflection within the mirror plate. This antique mirror could be mounted over a fireplace mantel, above a home bar, or vanity. Make sure to view the detailed images to get a closer look.
