About the Item
This elegant Biedermeier wall mirror was made in Germany around 1820 and represents the refined style of the early 19th century. The frame is veneered in beautifully figured walnut, showing a warm color tone and striking grain pattern. Its architectural composition features a triangular pediment and an arched frieze, flanked by two ebonized half-columns with finely gilt bases and capitals.
The design reflects the classical inspiration of the Biedermeier period, combining clean lines with noble materials and balanced proportions. Recently restored and hand-polished, the surface reveals a deep natural glow and excellent patina. The mirror glass itself has been replaced at a later stage and is in very good condition, making the piece both decorative and practical for everyday use.
