About the Item
A fabulous English C19th Queen Anne style black and gilt chinoiserie decorated pier mirror.
The black lacquered cushion frame with gilt heightened pavilions, birds and butterflies in a wooded landscape.
The sparkly softly bevelled mercury plates are beautifully foxed. The upper plate decorated with an engraved flower motif.
Historic repairs and restoration showing on the back of the frame, remnants of an old Christies label with further backing papers dated 1862.
