About the Item
A fabulous 19th Century giltwood pier or dressing mirror of tall and narrow proportions and in lovely original untouched condition. The gorgeous sparkly mercury mirror glass plate of shaped rectangular form is set within a finely hand carved, moulded and fluted giltwood frame with stunning bell husk, lambs tongue and beaded row border detail throughout. The shaped top corner returns with further beautifully detailed stippling and applied flowerhead paterae. Supported on shaped platform base with ebonised detail and a futher fabulous arrangment of foliate and scrolls to each side. Label Verso 'Wilson and Wheatley, Fine Art Dealers
