About the Item
An English Georgian Pier Mirror in walnut and giltwood. The bevelled mirror plate probably replaced at some point in the late 19th c.
The body of the mirror in walnut with giltwood borders and edging. The broken pediment top with acanthus and shell centre. The scrolled tops decorated with rosettes and swags. The frame with Kit Kat top and scrolled bottom in gold gilt with leaf giltwood edges. The back as shown in the images with makers label and paper back unbroken hence we believe the mirror plate to be from the late 19th as opposed to mid 18th c.
In original state, warm patina to gilt work, untouched as it were. A very smart origial antique English Georgian piece
