About the Item
A stunning and bright Van Gogh-inspired mid century modern mirror in the form of a sunflower, made in France c. 1960.
The sunburst-style frame is handmade wrought iron painted in bright sunflower yellow with lovely original patina. The frame has a double layer of leaves, each of which is decorated with hatched texturing along their edges.
The mirror is bevelled glass and has a visible diameter of 18cm / 7”.
It is most unusual, extremely decorative and very versatile, with a playful Cote d’Azur / French Riviera country house style that brings a burst of sunshine to any room.
