About the Item
19th century French Empire period cheval, or psyche mirror, made of solid walnut with beautiful wood grain and waxed patina. Nice proportions and large in scale for a tabletop mirror. Turned egg finials, thick mirror with some silvering and light scratches. Bottom bar has a burn mark on the back likely from a candle. Solid brass screws. All original and excellent quality for the age.
