Antique Dancer Toilet Mirror, of the Second Half of the 19th Century - Eclectic Style
Elegant and valuable dressing table mirror dating from the second half of the 19th century, made of solid walnut with elm inlays and original dark patina finish. A fine antique, an expression of high quality Bolognese cabinetmaking.
Belonging to the eclectic nineteenth-century period, the mirror features Baroque and neoclassical decorative elements, such as the twisted columns supporting the authentic mercury mirror, set in a double pivoting frame. The freestanding frames are embellished with refined "ovule" turnings.
The shaped base houses a functional and decorative central drawer.
The mirror is machined on all sides, making it also ideal as a centerpiece for the room.
