An 18th century French Louis XVI giltwood and painted trumeau mirror, elegantly combining classic neoclassical ornamentation with the warmth of timeworn gilding. The upper pastoral scene is delicately hand-painted, framed by a carved and gilded egg-and-dart border with floral sprays and beading.
The mirror below is original, showing the beautiful age and reflection distortion typical of genuine 18th century mercury glass.
A rare and distinguished piece that brings history, refinement, and French artistry to any space.
