About the Item

Here is a gorgeous 19th century Country French painted Louis XVI style Trumeau mirror boasting its original patina grey painted finish which has acquired a wonderful patina over the past century. The bold relief on the top panel has been hand carved to depict floral, ribbon and bagpipe motifs with a lovely romantic form. The original mirror is softly aged with some silvering distress to add character. This piece is a classic romantic French find, perfect for a console, commode or above the sideboard. Measures 66 H x 27.5 W circa 1890s.
