About the Item
This impressive mirror frame was originally built into a French paneled wall system and was set over the fireplace. The silvered mirror is original to the piece and quite oxidized, with a deep antique patina. If desired, the antique glass can be switched out for a new one. The frame is quarter-sawn French oak with a substantial arched crown and inset panels carved with vines and flowers. The finish is matte and grey, which harmonizes well with the subtle grain of the wood. The look is French country, and it dates to the mid-19th century.
