About the Item
This large 19th century French trumeau mirror is quite elegant, pared down to minimal decorative carvings that suggest a Louis XVI influence. A crest in the center of the frieze depicts a torch and quiver of arrows that is a striking contrast to the weathered gray/blue paint on the trumeau frame. The original mercury mirror glass shimmers with a layer of crystals all over the mirror and some light foxing. Please view the detailed images to see the current condition.
