About the Item

Anonymous ca. 1940s; Europe Giltwood, glass Approximate size: 60 (h) x 24 (w) x 1 (d) in. Elevate your interior with this superb Louis XVI style trumeau mirror, featuring an exquisite gold trimmed frame adorned with intricate trophies in gilt relief. The aged lacquer over a blue-grey painted ground offers a lovely patina and contrasts pleasantly with the frame’s gilded features. The mirror’s surface has been eloquently mottled and distressed to suggest age. Condition commensurate with age. Minor fissures along the plank margins present in some areas (due to expansion and contraction of the wood over the years). A later backing applied to the mirror for increased stability and convenient installation.
