About the Item

Absolutely beautiful example of an original French trumeau mirror with painting of what appears to depict a scene from the famous opera, "Nina" by Nicolas Delayrac in which it's most famous aria, "Quand le bien aimé reviendra" ("When my beloved returns") is performed. Oil on canvas, relined and beautifully restored. The painting measures 29.5" x 40". The mirror measures 19.5" x 29.5".
