About the Item
Pair 19th Century of giltwood trumeau pier mirrors with period compartmental plates set within ornate giltwood frames. The frames are intricately carved with S and C scrolls, ribbons, flower heads and acanthus leaves. Framed above the mirror plates are oil on canvas paintings depicting rural scenes. The framed scenes are surmounted by crests depicting Prince of Wales feathers and are flanked on both sides by scrolls and trailing foliate decoration.
