About the Item

An exceptional quality mid C18th oval giltwood wall mirror, with elaborate overhanging scroll acanthus crest, above pierced rococo and C-scroll carving and a trailing lines of laurel. Still retaining its original water gilding. Circa 1770. In remarkable good original condition and finely carved throughout. Attributed to design of John Linnell.  H: 105 cm (41 5/16") W: 54 cm (21 1/4") D: 17 cm (6 11/16")
