1980 Pair of Backlit "Jewel" Mirrors Italian

Miroir François Lembo, ceramic, jewelry, gold, emerald green, black signed. Small circular mirror, enameled in gold, with inlaid jewel decoration. Signed F. Lembo with incised signature on back. A native of Vallauris, François Lembo began his career as a potter in 1951, working in the Calva and Rossignol workshops. After completing his apprenticeship and national service, he worked for 3 years in the workshop of his father-in-law, Marc Roussel, before opening his own workshop in Vallauris in 1960.
