About the Item
Bring dramatic flair and sculptural presence to your interior with this finely carved wall mirror. Crafted in Italy circa 1860, the exuberant Baroque frame features a deeply carved pediment adorned with blooming roses and scrolling acanthus leaves cascading into voluted sides. The design incorporates richly textured foliage and ribbon forms that embrace the original mercury glass. The two-tone surface combines matte black lacquer accents with luminous gold leaf, creating a striking interplay of depth and contrast. The mirror retains its original back and wire for hanging, and remains in excellent condition with an elegant aged patina throughout.
