About the Item
Beautiful pair of Mid-20th Century Biedermeier-Style mirrors with burlwood veneer and laurel wreath. The Biedermeier period, roughly spanning from 1815 to 1848, was characterized by a style that emphasized comfort, simplicity, and elegance, often using rich wood veneers like walnut, cherry, and birch. This style emerged in Central Europe, particularly in German-speaking regions, as a reaction against the ornate Empire style.
This is a unique pair because of its size and we have a pair. The pair of mirrors are in good condition with small age spots in the mirrors and some checking in the veneer. One of the panels is bowed but not very visible. Overall the pair is in very good condition shown in the photos.
