Good size and top quality carved nutwood frame with the original antique glass mirror.
Over the years we have sold a number of great quality and unique mirrors and this fine specimen in the Baroque Style is right up there with the best. The first thing that catches your eye is the amazing design and its overal shape. It is so pleasing to the eye that it cannot be described as anything other than a true eye-catcher and an absolute joy to look at. Entirely hand-carved out of solid nutwood this top quality workmanship mirror was made to last and last it will. Over the many decades the gilding has warn off, but that is exactly what attracts the real antique collectors, because this antique has grown a patina that is second to none. The antique glass mirror, by the way, is in perfect condition and its shape is as unique as the design of the stunning and deeply carved frame it is in. We date this deeply carved gem to circa 1850/1890. The design and excecution is so unique and special, that this clearly is is not the work of your ordinary artisan, this is the labour of a master craftsman. For us to have found it in this very good condition, more than made our day. We can already see this mirror gracing someone's hallway, living room or bedroom and it will never fail to impress.
