An elegant antique French Louis Philippe mirror, dating to the late 19th century.
The mirror features a black-painted wooden frame with a carved silvered and gilt inner band, showing beautiful age-related patina, and a gently curved top characteristic of the Louis Philippe style.

Condition: Good condition with light wear consistent with age and use. Beautiful patina. Mercury glass and original back. Some wear visible on the glass. Refinished from completely gilt to black while retaining its gilded rim during the 1920s–1930s, when the Art Deco era favored strong contrasts and clean lines. Ready to hang.
