About the Item
In this listing you will find an Antique ornate gold mirror done in neoclassical or Louis XVI style n gilt wood. This style is part of a revival of classical designs that were popular in the 18th century, emphasizing symmetry and intricate, elegant detailing. The design features classic neoclassical elements such as a rectangular shape, symmetrical floral and foliate (leaf) motifs, and an ornate crest at the top. The gold finish has a warm glow as in old gold and it has a developed a rich patina, which was partially cleaned by our workshop. The mirror itself is faceted. Made in France in the end of the 19th century.
The mirror is in overall good condition. The frame shows some signs of time and use, such as small chips.
