About the Item

Authentic Art Nouveau / Jugendstil wall mirror, circa 1900-1910, of German or Austrian craftsmanship. The detailed hand-hammered brass frame exemplifies the period's signature flowing lines and organic motifs. A distinctive green glass triangle crowns the composition, providing the characteristic jewel-like accent beloved in authentic Art Nouveau pieces. The brass surface has developed a rich, century-old patina that tells the story of its history. The mirror remains secured to its original wooden backing with period-appropriate hanging hardware on the back. This collectible piece presents in good vintage condition, displaying the expected surface character consistent with its 100+ year history. The original mirror glass maintains impressive clarity with minor age-related imperfections and fine dark streaks in the silvering—characteristic of authentic antique mirrors and difficult to capture in photographs A remarkable survivor from the Golden Age of European decorative arts. • Measurements: 33.5 x 25.5 cm (13.2 x 10") • Conditon: Good vintage condition with rich patina and light surface wear, including very minor marks on the mirror glass.
