Eye Mirror

Ian C.R. Martin is an artist and designer based in Los Angeles. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Sculpture from the New York Academy of Art, and has worked for over a decade as an interior designer while maintaining his studio art practice. The ongoing Glyph Mirror series showcases Martin's distinct approach to form through the use of concentric lines and interlocking shapes. His inspiration stems from in depth study of ritual objects and cross-cultural architecture, which synthesizes his sculpture and design background. Experimentation with materials and atypical mold making techniques are central to his creative process.
