A Flemish Faux Tortoiseshell and Repousse Mirror, 19th Century
Description:
The bevelled glass held within a triple frame, the central frame of faux tortoiseshell with repousse floral mounts to each corner and midpoint, surrounded by an inner and outer repousse frame of conforming floral motif, each frame with ebonised reeded borders, rising to pediment of richly pierced and scrolling repousse floral adornments.
