About the Item
A large French carved and gilt wood mirror from the late 19th century. This antique mirror from France features a rectangular-shaped surround with a repeating floral in medallion motive carved within the center molding, and sweet petite beaded inner surround next to the glass mirror. The mirror is old, likely original with nice, visible distressing on it. The gilt wood has a lovely patina and there are areas of burnt red which show through from beneath. This late 19th century French mirror is quite the stately piece, standing at over 6 feet in height and approximately 4.6 feet in width.
