About the Item
This large wall mirror with a reeded frame was made in France in the early 19th century.
The frame has a reeded design running parallel to the edges, giving it subtle texture. It retains the original paint, which is mostly a muted grey-blue tone with visible wear - consistent with the mirror's age. There are hints of wood showing through.
The original mirror plate has some areas of light foxing, as one would expect from glass of this age.
