A tall French giltwood and painted wall mirror from circa 1920, combining early 20th-century elegance with clean, versatile proportions. The rectangular form is framed by a crisp outer surround in a soft painted finish, creating a calm, neutral border that offsets the richer giltwood interior. The inner frame is detailed with a beaded molding and a subtly carved edge, giving the mirror a refined, traditional presence without tipping into formality.
The mirror plate shows gentle age spotting and light surface marks, the kind of early patina expected on French mirrors from this period and one that adds depth rather than distraction. Its narrow, elongated format makes it especially adaptable: ideal for an entry hall, dressing area, or flanking a fireplace or doorway.
