Dating to circa 1750 France, this period Louis XV oval mirror has a beautifully hand-carved gilded wood frame surrounding the oval glass. The widest parts of the mirror are adorned with prominent leaf margents that extend well beyond the rest of the frame.

- Condition:Repaired: Traces of old gilt touchups. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Good antique condition. Glass desilvering, which is desired. Minor nicks and losses, exposing red bole (also preferred). Commensurate age separations and buildup, with old gilt touchups. Mirror not rigged (crate seen is for in-store display only).
