About the Item
French Rococo style hand carved wood mirror with wonderful surface patina. The open work frame carved with acanthus leaf, ogee, and floral decoration with a carved starburst in the center of the crown.
The carving is exquisite, the surface patina a remarkable crackled gesso that was once the base for gilding.
