A French 19th century Louis Philippe mantel mirror of an understated, silver gilt frame enhanced by dark oxidation and craquelure texture. The frame is oriented in a rather unusual east-west direction etched with a trellised pattern interrupted by a few cracks and areas of wear which give authentic patina to the design. Note that the mirror plate is a modern replacement. This gorgeous mirror will be right at home in many decorating tastes: over a fireplace mantel, a buffet, or vanity.
