Stunning large shield-shaped beveled mirror with a solid brass frame. This incredibly elegant and rare piece was produced in Italy during the 1940s, and its design is attributed to the mastery of Gio Ponti.
Fully original, the mirror features a rich, warm golden patina that has been left unpolished to preserve its authenticity and historical value. The mirror has a solid brass frame with an elegant and distinctive shield-like shape and is fitted with its original beveled mirror. The mirror shows some normal, natural signs of oxidation; upon request, it can be replaced with a brand new one.
The sinuous lines and perfectly balanced proportions make this mirror truly unique and a must-have for collectors and Italian design lovers.
A timeless piece, perfect to elevate a Mid-Century Modern or Art Deco interior, or to bring character and sophistication to a contemporary setting.
