About the Item

This North Italian late C18th giltwood mirror amazingly retains its original wonderfully foxed mercury glass plate set within a mirrored frame surrounded by continuous zig-zag carving. The pierced apron and cresting is boldly carved with flowers, C-scrolls and trailing leaves. A rare and wonderfully atmospheric mirror.
