Crafted by the esteemed Milanese metal atelier Santambrogio e De Berti—known for their collaborations with Gio Ponti—this 1960s mirror reflects the refined elegance of Italian modernism. Sculptural copper-clad panels flank the top and base, raised slightly off the surface and embossed with abstract reliefs—a study in proportion and materiality, characteristic of the firm’s architectural sensibility. Founded in Milan in the early 1900's , the firm rose to prominence between the 1930s and 1970s, becoming a trusted fabricator for Italy’s leading modernist architects. This mirror is a quietly powerful example of their legacy—functional and architectural.
Condition: Great vintage condition with surface wear throughout consistent with age. Patina to the copper with minor dents, edge wear, and visible oxidation. Hanging hardware present along the backside.
