This is an antique Japanese wooden mirror from the Taisho period.
The frame is finished using traditional Japanese techniques and is coated with lacquer.
The lacquer has peeled in places over time, giving the piece a refined texture.
This is an extremely rare, one-of-a-kind mirror.
