About the Item
Italy, ca. 1950s. A fantastic wall mirror with great scale and presence. Features an undulating and stepped / scalloped wood frame finished in silver leaf with various gold and silver washes. Dramatic and beautifully patinated, this piece would be dynamite in a foyer or over a fireplace. Often attributed to famed American interior designer Dorothy Draper (1889-1969) - it may be that she selected one of these mirrors for a project. Based on the construction and quality, we believe it to be of Italian make. In overall excellent vintage condition with tremendous soul and versatility.
