This classic French mirror from the 19th century (which is symmetrical to mount in any orientation) has been recently updated with bright blue paint to give it a new, more relaxed aesthetic. It retains some of the original gilding as thin bands to complement the painted molding. Note the mirror plate is likely a modern replacement without the foxing or crystal one would expect.
