About the Item

Verre Eglomise is a French style of reverse glass gilding and painting developed in the 18th century. Both a design and gilding are applied onto the rear face of the glass and can be combined with other decorating techniques such as painting. This mirror is framed by bouquets of pink blooms with green leaves as well as gold wheat shaped designs throughout.
