Brutalist Rings Framed Oval Wall Mirror, Wrought Iron, Gold Leaf, Spain, 1950s
Eye-catching gilt iron mirror framed by rings or circles linked between them. The oval glass is surrounded by two layers of twisted iron wires as decorative accent.
This stunning oval mirror was entirely made by hand. It has an elegant brutalist design. It was manufactured at the Mid-Century Modern period in the style of Brutalism. It is finished in its original gold leaf gilding showing a terrific aged patina.
As it has a large mirror glass surface it can be used hanging above a vanity in a bathroom or powder room. Also interesting for a bedroom or entry hall as console mirror.
